Sapelli also includes some ‘special’ elements which, although contained in a Form, do not correspond to the notion of a Field in the traditional sense of the other elements that a Form may contain. These special components could for example be used to represent relationships between separate Forms. Often these elements are best understood by bearing in mind that the project’s XML file defines not only the series of interfaces that will be viewed by the user but also the schema of the database into which their submissions will be saved.
Note that these elements will often still inherit attributes from the abstract notion of a Field.
